RÉSUMÉ

Après un attentat armé raté au cours duquel elle abandonne ses compagnons, Hélène s’enfuit en forêt et y rencontre Catherine, un alter ego mystérieux, carnassier et tentateur. Ce double lui fera visiter une vallée fantastique, où métamorphoses, pouvoirs vénéneux et grands bouleversements viendront bientôt bousculer l’ordre des choses. Hélène aura à revisiter ses choix et les dilemmes moraux, politiques et humains qui les circonscrivent.

Long métrage d’animation coloré et fougueux, film d’idées et d’aventures, La mort n’existe pas est une fable sur l’irruption de la violence dans le monde, sur ses sources et ses effets, ses conséquences et ses troubles. Un film de métaphores et de paroles franches, douloureux et éclatant, sur l’engagement, les convictions profondes et l’urgence de remettre le monde en mouvement.

 After an armed attack during which she leaves her companions behind, Helen flees into the forest and meets Catherine, a mysterious, rapacious, seductive alter ego. This double will lead her to a fantastic valley where metamorphoses, poisonous powers and great upheavals are about to disrupt the order of things. Helen will be led to revisit her choices and the moral, political and human dilemmas that circumscribe them. A colorful and gutsy animation feature that blends ideas and adventures, Death does not exist is a fable about the outbreak of violence in the world, on its roots and impacts, its consequences and turmoil. A film of metaphors and of honest, painful and dazzling words, on political commitment, deep seated convictions and the urgent need to rouse the world to act.
